About the Journal

Edited by Editora Acadêmica Aluz, RBMED – Brazilian Scientific Journal of Health and Medicine – is a platform dedicated to scientific dissemination and dialogue across various fields of health. The journal aims to foster the exchange of ideas, research findings, critical reflections, and contemporary debates on topics relevant to the advancement of medicine and public health.

RBMED ensures strict compliance with the periodicity and standardization requirements expected of scientific publications, following the Vancouver Style, widely adopted in medical and biomedical fields.

Published semiannually, with a continuous submission system, RBMED is available online and in open access, accepting manuscripts in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. The journal prioritizes the dissemination of thematic issues on topics of scientific and social relevance, as well as specific sections dedicated to original articles, reviews, theoretical essays, experience reports, opinion pieces, book reviews, and letters to the editor.

Aligned with the principles of Open Science, RBMED adopts transparent and collaborative editorial practices, promoting the free dissemination of scientific knowledge. The journal uses the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 International license, which allows sharing, adaptation, and use of content—including for commercial purposes—provided that proper credit is given and the integrity of the original work is preserved.
